Job Description:

Assists with scheduling and supervision of Team Members, day-to-day department flow, and Prepared Foods displays. Supports Prepared Foods Team Leader and Associate Team Leader for smooth operation. Ensures positive company image, courteous service, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures. Team Members must be prepared for other job duties and support WFM core values, national and store programs, and health and safety regulations. The job requires extensive knowledge of Prepared Foods procedures, strong organizational and time management skills, excellent communication skills, and product knowledge.Responsibilities:

• Supervises and delegates tasks to Prepared Foods Team Members.
• Trains Team Members with learning checklists and materials.
• Keeps cases and shelves clean, well-stocked, and rotated.
• Opens and closes department according to established procedures.
• Ensures all necessary breaks are given.
• Communicates team concerns to the Team Leader.
• Sets and achieves retail execution standards.
• Fosters positive teamwork, mutual respect, and morale.
• Maintains customer awareness and directs Team Members as necessary.
• Selects, trains, and develops Team Members in a high-performance team and minimizes turnover.
• Provides performance evaluations.
• Communicates WFM vision and goals.Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:
  • Lifts 50 pounds.
  • Standing/walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour work day.
  • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
  • Work requires bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching.
  • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals and temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Ability to work in wet and dry conditions, a flexible schedule, and use tools and equipment.
