qualified CVICU RN in Prescott, Arizona, 86301 About The Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse - CVICU Job Specialty: Cardiovascular
Intensive Care Unit (Cardio IC) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift:
12-hour days, must work Christmas, two weekend shifts per pay
period Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2
years License: Not required to submit Certifications: ACLS, BLS
Must-Have: - Experience with IABP, CRRT, and fresh OHS from the OR
- Ability to titrate drips such as Dex, Propofol, Dopamine, Neo,
Epinephrine, Levo, Insulin, and Cardene Job Description: - The unit
consists of 12 beds with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1
based on acuity. - Common diagnoses and patient types include AMI,
CAD, and PVD. - Charge Nurse and House Supervisor roles are both
present on the unit. - Occasionally, nurse aides may assist,
typically at a ratio of 1 NA to the CVICU. - The department may
share RT equipment like vents, Cpap, BiPap, Vapotherm, and HiFlow
with the ICU. - RNs are required to read telemetry strips. - The
schedule includes 12-hour shifts, with a weekend requirement of two
shifts per pay period. - Holiday work is required. - There is a
call or standby requirement, maximum of 3 times over 12 weeks. -
Floating to other departments as needed based on skill needs is
required (MS/Tele/PCU/ICU). - The dress code is navy blue scrubs. -
Unit/department-specific orientation is provided. - Impella
experience is desired. - The charting system used is Cerner. -
Travelers must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to signing a contract.
- Cancellations can occur up to 3 shifts per contract.
