  • Hospital in AZ in need of RNs to float between PCU, Tele, and Med Surg.
  • Must have 2 years experience in med/tele and 1 year PCU, current state license, and ACLS/BLS certifications.
    • Job Requirements
    • Must have 2 years experience in med/tele and 1 year PCU
    • Must have a current state license
    • ACLS/BLS certifications are required
    • At least 1 year in PCU setting is necessary
    • RNs are required to titrate drips
    • Travelers must be comfortable managing drips like Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Insulin
    • Nurses must be able to interpret strips
      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts are 7-7 for AM and PM
      • Schedule is published 6 weeks out for 4 weeks at a time
      • Travelers will need to be flexible
      • Night shift may accommodate for block scheduling
      • Every Other Weekend Requirement
      • Will include travelers in perm staff rotation for holidays
      • No call or standby requirement
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Units included in float pool: MedSurg, Tele, and PCU across both campuses
        • Would include inpatients holding in ED
        • Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Each unit will have a charge nurse, will not take assignments
        • Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: Will utilize nurse aids in all settings
          • Additional Details
          • Geriatric patients, ortho patients, post procedural patients, caring for groin sites in stepdown unit
          • Common diagnoses: Post MI, post Cardiac Cath, CABG post-op day 3-4
          • Nurse:Patient Ratios: PCU 1:4, MedSurg Tele 1:5-6
          • Each unit will have a charge nurse who will not take assignments
          • Will utilize nurse aids in all settings
          • RT Equipment includes CPAP or Bipap at night in MedSurg. BiPAP, CPAP and Heated High flow in PCU
          • Stepdown monitors on the unit
          • Scheduler for float pool will make the schedule
          • Travelers notified 2 hours prior to shift start via text from staffing office
          • Distance between campuses is around 20-25 minutes
          • Scrub Color/Dress Code: solid color professional scrubs. October will align with Dignity guideline which will be Navy scrubs
          • 8 hour day of general hospital orientation, 12 hour shift at West MedTele and PCU at West
